And of course that was good old British poison gas, made in Britain, from good old ingredients such as chlorine and phosgene. None of your fancy sarin or vx in those days.
Yes in those days it took real guts to drop gas bombs on the Kurds. They were as Churchill says, most uncivilised.
As compared, of course, to those dropping the gas . . .
