Facility Location Models?

Hi,

I am a student about to write my thesis regarding the ideal location for a Self-Storage facility taking into account the competetion, market demand, visibility etc.

I am not a logistics student and thus I do not have a lot of knowledge on this front. From my research I have only come across models that put emphasis on the transportation distance etc, when it comes to retail locations.

Are there any models that anyone can suggest that might be sutiable in my case.
I want to map out the ideal location on a map with calculations
