Two Questions:

Does the Republican Right Wing (Christian) Conservatives truly follow the teachings of the bible?

Does the Democrat Left Wing (Christian) Liberals truly follow the teachings of the bible?

1 Timothy 6:17-18
"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Romans 13:5-7
"Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor"

I am a democrat. I just wanted to show everyone that the democratic party is more aligned with Christian beliefs than the Republican party in so many ways. The right wing conservative republicans love to talk about their Christian morality when it comes to abortion and homosexuality. Once you start talking about war and peace, feeding the hungry, helping the poor, helping the sick, getting the wealthy to help out more, they like to forget their Christian teachings.

Maybe there may come a day when the Republican party might start asking those super wealthy fat cats to start doing more to help the needy and poor. Maybe one day the Republican party will stop (claiming) that they are following Christian morality and start (demonstrating) that they are following Christian morality. One way to start is to raise taxes on the super wealthy so that the social safety nets stay strong. Such as Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, housing assistance. Hopefully the Republican party would demonstrate their Christian values by not putting the burden on the poor, in the way of cutting benefits and raising poor people's taxes. I'm just coming at this from a Christian bible thumping point of view, since that what the Republicans always claim they are doing.

The more you study the bible, the more you will see that Jesus is a compassionate, caring, liberal.
