abuzz was like radio, it was an immediate theater of the mind in which actual "top-of the -head" exchanges prevailed. Thats what honed debaating skills.
I dont like the cut and paste type of debate that has gotten to be popular here. That, to me, excludes more people from joining in the exchange even if they find the topic interesting, people start arguing the definition of the topic rather than the topic itself

abuzz, was just a bunch of people sharing thoughts of the moment. Its funny, I went over there this AM and found an almost apologetic sense of finality. SOme of the most thoughtless and rude members, those guilty of the multiple personnae posts, were actually using their original handles. I believe they are in denial.

You never know what you had till its gone.

ABuzz, it was fun, even the insanity.Sometimes being nice aall the time just gets in the way of communication

Wasn't you Bi-Polar. It was BeBrave. Remember her "Anyone else want to shoot that damn monkey?" thread. NYT's little attempt at advertising went down in flames, and the heart went out of them.

I just came from saving several favorite threads. It's amazing the range of thoughts and emotions contained in so many of them.
