@anthony1312002,
All of the above.

Things get better, they get worse, they remain stagnant for long periods.
Eventually the earth as we know it will go kerfupplity when the sun finishes its run or it may be destroyed by a series of huge asteroids smashing into it. Or perhaps just have huge pieces knocked off by said asteroids. There's the chance of being given blow to smithereens, either at our own hands or by weapons of destruction unleashed upon the planet by those from another universe.

The possibilities are numerous, sometimes almost humorous. It is best not to think too much on it.

@anthony1312002,
Get worse.

The population will increase dramatically over the next 50 years, so much so, that I will eventually be forced to share a tiny bedsit with the young and lithe Miss Goodbody who lives opposite.

I have changed my mind.

Better. Much better.

@Sturgis,
I know a few scientists that would agree with you. But I was reading something in the Bible that provided a bright outlook.

“God . . . will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”—Revelation 21:3, 4.

Then I thought of what that might mean for the human family.

1: Meaningful and satisfying work.—Isaiah 65:21-23.
2: No more sickness or suffering of any kind.—Isaiah 25:8; 33:24.
3: A happy, unending life with family and friends.—Psalm 37:11, 29.

What do you think?
