Sad news. He made great music for decades. Prince first album was released in the late 1970s. I was mostly into his music from the late 1970s through all of the 1980s.

I liked him also. Just watched Purple Rain movie the other day.

I admire his creativity and his spirit. It's truly a loss. I wasn't that aware of the number of musical hits (like Another Manic Monday for the Bangles) that he wrote for other singers. I knew that he was a producer.
May he RIP.

Musicians/ stars/celebs seem to be dropping like flies. I wonder what did him in? I read some recent news article had him having being at the hospital with the flu.

What a terrible loss, I loved his music videos. If his death was due to complications of the flu, that's a grim reminder of how deadly the flu actually is. What a shame, he was a giant talent and the world is a little less magical now that Prince has left us.

He was a biggie. I was never one who "got it".My all time most hated song is "Manic Monday", which he wrote for the Bangles.
He was a place keeper for several decades of really shitty clothes, bad lighting ,CHICAGO, and fondue.
Still, sad to see him go .

It's so shocking to me that people close to my age - who have scads of money for the best healthcare in the world - die so intolerably young.

He was such a sexy little man. I loved what he could do with a song. I used to think Little Red Corvette was one of the sexiest songs I'd ever heard.

I did mock him a bit during his days as a guy with a symbol as his name, but I appreciated his extraordinary talent, and I'm sorry he's dead.
