I had a lallapuusa mess a few weeks ago, as the mods now know, that I take as caused by my trying to dump a certain thread or post.

Later I got that that was a malformed thingy.

I later learned where to be chary re this kind of **** kicking, the malformed stuff.

But now I worry on the other side, re what is malformed.

Region posted re a post I wouldn't have taken as malformed, and that is confusing, not that I don't believe and agree with him. That one post makes it hard to tell. Even now I forget details - just wondering re moves.

@ossobuco,

osso, he's not providing links to the malformed topics so that people won't accidentally click on them and get stuck.

@ossobuco,
Ok, I looked back at the Malformed Topics thread (very very useful, thank you for it) and it was the second to the last post's title that looked relatively normal to me, one that on a bad day I might have opened to read...

@ehBeth,
Right. I know that's how to treat malformed topics. It's just that one recent example didn't look/appear malformed to me. I didn't click on it - but it's possible I or someone else might, because it didn't (to me) look malformed.

You're saying that even if I had clicked on it, and found myself staring at a blank space, I could be safe to just back out, as in use the "back button" on my computer (not tag, etc)? That would be a relief..

It happened to me the one time, but that was before Jes started the topic warning us not to touch malformed topics - and at the time I got shut out, I'd no clue what I had done. Anyway, Jes came to decide it must have been a malformed topic I'd somehow fooled with, and the developers (I think) found it, and got me back in.

@ossobuco,
to quote the Lady Jessela

Quote:
Do NOT click on them (e. g. if you open one in error, just back out).

Don't try to answer them.

Don't reply to them.

Don't tag them.

Don't vote.

Don't thumb up or down.

Don't even report them.

@ehBeth,
use the back button (mine is up top of my computer, the area where the URL is)? or not even that, just go to another thread?
