Please help me identify this work and the artist.

I "think" it is by a Filipino artist or, at least,a Filipino subject and not a Fine artist. The hat, the "lam" at end of name and brush strokes, etc. make me say that. Frame and style seem more 80s-90s, also. Only my 1st impression; research may change my mind-ha!

Do you think it could be Chinese artist Yip Po Wang. At least part of the signature in question looks similar.

I think you are correct. In your 1st post. I didn't see the faint last letter of name and thought the final 3 were "lam", common to the Philippines. Also, I see that the hat here is curved like a bowl, whereas the Filipino one is more Slanted. Sorry if I misled you. I said that I might change my mind after more research, but it was you doing that, not I. Congratulations!
