Go to either or both:

www.mrqe.com
www.rottentomatoes.com

and enter the titles in search.

Welcome to A2K, incidentally, gaylesworth. Here is Roger Ebert's review (a thumbs up but only a half star over average):

Welcome to A2K, JoeFX -- yes, we reference IMDb all the time but their outside movie reviews aren't as comprehensive as Rotten Tomatoes or Movie Review Query Engine.

I haven't actually seen the first two, but I was a fan of Donnie Darko, despite it getting rather mixed reviews.

I'll go by reviews to a point, but the magic of digital cable and video on demand lets me see movies that looked interesting, but were panned, for way less than actually going to a theatre. 'Underworld' comes to mind, which I actually enjoyed as a mindless romp.

No, real movie critics. Rotten Tomatoes divides them up and gives percentages of both all critics and the major "cream of the crop" critics. IMDb is mainly user critics like eopinions.com. It also has a discussion board. MRQE is a database of professional reviewers also.

For instance, "Donnie Darko":

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/donnie_darko/

79% favorable reviews from the general output of critical reviews isn't bad!

...and 64% from the major and often more critical bunch.

I saw "Donnie Darko," last night. It's a modern tragedy, certainly. That final song is haunting...
