I caught the end of an Animal Planet show that was showing Tennessee Fainting Goats. I thought I would die laughing!

I was raised on a farm and and have always had pets, but I had never heard of these adorable creatures. Trying to figure out how to sneak one onto the property without Bear finding out...

Take a look:

Anyone familiar with them?

We can always use another goat for the monthly sacrifices.....and a fainting goat will be much easier to get on the altar.....I'm all for it honey.....

littlek - the video on tv was so funny. They can be trotting around their pen minding their own business and all of a sudden fall over stiff as a board. A few seconds later they get up and walk off like nothing happened.

I read on one of the sites that the older ones have learned to stay close to a fence or structure so they don't fall all the way down.

Squinney
Squinney, oh my gwad, don't tell Gus about fainting goats. He will start cloning them and selling them on e-Bay.

I've heard of them. The 'fainting' seems to be a kind of tonic immobility. I feel sorry for them, but I don't really know if I should since I don't know how the fainting affects their well-being.

I'm kind of fond of goats. If I could keep them, I'd probably go for pygmy goats (always best to start small).
