Hello, I'm interested in finding a term for a specific situation. What would you call daily non verbal emotional transactions that people exchange between each other on daily basis. For example: My coworker was very involved in helping me solve an issue I was working on. I'll make sure to help him out in the future.

Or transactions that happen in more intimate relationships between husband and wife . A husband mentioned that his wife looked great that night , which increased his chances of having sex etc.

I'd like to know how sociologists refer to these situations and possibly some sources where I can find more about this.

Thank you

@siia,
Try EMPATHY or possibly SOCIAL STROKING.
There are numerous articles on the first.
