i have anaesthesia.
reason being anaethesia is the absence of feeling,whereas anaesthetic is the substance that produces the feeling of being numb. hope that makes it clear for you.

I would have gone with ANAESTHETIC as that is the 'number' - as in the substance that causes numbness.
