y=-1/3x+2
write an equation that translates it:
5 units down flipped, 3 times as steep half as steep, 3 units up



pleassseeee help!! and please tell me how to solve it!!

To move up or down, add or subtract the amount you want to move. For example to move up three, y=1/(3y+2) + 3

To change the "steepness" or slope, multiply. To make it twice as steep, multiply the function by 2.

@engineer,
thank you for your nice answer^^ but if i multiply the equation, do i multiply the whole thing? do i even multiply y?

Not the Y part. Graph y=x. Now graph y=2x. See how the line shifted slope? Now let's say y=x+2. That is a line shifted up two squares. If you say y=2(x+2), the slope doubles, but it rotates on point where y=0. You might have to adjust it again if you want it to rotate on a different point.
