Update - since I somehow posted pre finishing my thoughts on this, which I haven't worked out yet, not re the crossdressing, but about his ability to translate his experience, quite strong, when he was least able.

Those tags are there because I knew the art, design, photography ones would show up so I might as well add them, and some tags get precedence re categories some of the time, or so I conjecture. Me, I'm interested in the man and how he dealt, first, which does connect to his art.
