I'm Thinking of studying Mandarin in China for 12 months next year, but after doing a lot of research online, I'm having trouble deciding which city and course is best for me.
I do know that I do not wish to study in Beijing nor Shanghai because of the pollution and the number of international students. So, I was wondering if anyone could help me think about other cities with mandarin courses that can provide an academic degree?

Sichuan University is really great at literature and many foreigners learn Chinese here.
I love it much though I was not born in Sichuan province.
