DVD-5 vs. DVD-9

I was not sure what forum to post this in so thank you for your patience.
I have come across these phrases (DVD-5, DVD-9) when shopping for dvds, and I was wondering which is better quality or if there was a noticeable difference between the two types.
Thanks again!,

DVD-5 Discs are single layer and can hold 4.9GB of data. A DVD-9 disc is dual layer and can hold 7.95GB of data.

The DVD5/DVD9 moniker has nothing to do with disc quality. It's a capacity rating only.

Check your DVD burner's specs and see what it is capable of using. If it's not a dual layer burner then spending more for DVD9 discs is a waste of money.

dvd-9 always have some special features, such as
Deleted Scenes, Outtakes, Music video, Gallery, Personal Interview and some behind the scenes video clips

dvd-5 could have some but not much
