I am so glad to learn that chastity is still valued among ostriches. I had an abiding fear of promiscuous birds, running amok, having sex with humans. Indeed, I feared that gus' strong attraction to befeathered sexual partners would embolden these winged succubi and that the nightly news would switch from the much needed coverage of Charlie Sheen and the Kardashian sisters to tales of the rape of humans by large members of the order aves.
