I wish you joy. I've paid my dues.

You do know not to leave the python unsupervised with his dinner? Every so often the mouse bites the snake.

Are you sure turtles are reptiles? I think The Shredder always called them that, and then they corrected him, and they were in fact amphibians. I've grown up believing that, and am just recently unsure.

Reptiles. They have to come up for air, eventually.

Turtles are surely better than my spider, onyxelle. At least they don't leave so suddenly.

Oh, so while frogs require air (I assume), since tadpoles do not, they fit into the category?

I know, that's what I mean. Smile When they are tadpoles they do not require air, when they are frogs they do (again an assumption), so frogs are still considered amphibians because of their tadpole state? Am I coming to the wrong conclusion?

Anyway, thanks for your responses to my question.

Don't know my natural history as well as I like, onyx, but I believe frogs get oxygen through the skin when underwater, and through the lungs when above the surface. Tadpoles are not equipped for breathing out of water at all, if memory serves.

Well, let's get ourselves a frog, and dunk it for a while. Scientific method - test your hypothesis.
