The complex of hate and vengeance corrodes ones ability to think rationally.

Hi Kuben
I would suggest complexities instead of complex as there are two nouns involved and not one.therefore corrode instead of corrodes.Maybe inhibit instead of corrode???

I agree with "complexities," but would suggest "combination," instead. On the other hand, the two nouns are objects of the preposition, so they don't control the main verb. "complexities" and "combination" are both singular and would control the verb choice.
