Help in translating a piece of Latin

So, there is a book (by Giuseppe Peano) which starts with the following "editorial" notes / meta-information:

1. in R. Academia militari professore
2. Analysin infinitorum in R. Taurinensi Athenaeo docente.
3. Romae, Via ... & Florentiae, Via ...
4. Iuribus servatis
5. Augustae Taurinorum - Typis Vincentii Bona.

Can somebody help me with adding a correct English translation? I have somewhat experience with Latin, but certainly not enough with cases to be 100% sure of an accurate translation.

Thanks a lot for any help.

I guess the "R." in R. Academia militari, refers either to "Reale" ...; or should be the translation of "Royal" (referring to Royal Military Academy) ... I guess that the latter is more likely, since Peano was indeed a teacher there.

The "R." in R. Taurinensi Athenaeo, might refer to "Regio" ...

I agree with you. I think this is "professor at the Royal Military Academy"

Analysis of the Infinite, teaching at the Royal Turin Athenaeum.

3. Romae, Via ... & Florentiae, Via ...
These are locations: "at Rome", "at Florence" with the street (Via) names
omitted.

4. Iuribus servatis
Respecting rights

5. Augustae Taurinorum - Typis Vincentii Bona.
At Turin, printed by Vincent Bona
(Augusta Taurinorum is the full Latin name of Turin)

Wasnt there a set of laws that Roman lawyers had to learn that came under this heading ? It had to do with slaves and servants ? It was usually Ius though .

We had a teacher who wanted to become a priest but they turned him down...told him they didnt want someone who thought the real world was too hard and wanted to escape . Half of my hard nosed attitude I owe to the Franciscans who raised me . I had a crises of conscience when I learned about ht ehistory of the Popes...that did it for me .

I wish I had a dollar for every time I had to chant the conjugation of the verb 'to be' . My first week in Latin I genuinely didnt know we had homework . Six cuts of the best from the strap, then one cut for each mistake if Brother thought we should know it . I didnt like being punished for a genuine mistake, so I never did Latin homework again or answered a question correctly . We were only supposed to get six a day maximum, but I would walk out of Latin with between 12 -16 cuts every lesson . He gave up before I did . Very Happy

Then just to show I could do it, I studied hard and got an A .

In the Army I did every survival course available in the Defence Forces, except for one . But every time things got hairy and ugly, I thought of Latin and how it taught me I was tough enough to survive anything . Kids dont 'learn' the way we used to... Wink

Might I ask someone's advice on how to translate "Regis bibliopolae"? This is also part of the front page of the cited book. Thanks for any possible help & for your outstanding expertise.

Is "teaching Analysis of the Infinite at the Royal Turin Athenaeum" an equally correct translation as "Analysis of the Infinite, teaching at the Royal Turin Athenaeum"? Or would this be a looser translation? Thanks for any help on this hair-splitting.
