What Is Your Life Philosophy?

Do you have a philosophy you stick by in life?
Mine is from my Mum.
"Don't rely on others for something - do it yourself."
I also like :
"Happy; angry; confused; depressed. Whatever others are like, make your emotions different to them"

My philosophies are these:

To be kind to everyone I meet unless they give me reason to treat them otherwise.

Respect the differences in others.

Never be too stubborn or proud to say I'm sorry or I was wrong, please forgive me.

Have respect for myself and I will have respect others.

Stand up for myself whenever it is necessary to do so.

Keep a positive attitude in any situation.

doglover, I agree with your list, but will add one more; stand up for people who are unable to stand up for themselves.

brimstone, welcome to A2K.

I have modified my philosophy a wee bit, but I still hang on to:

Never wound another's soul.

Heh heh, kuvasz, like the third observation.

(how's that sick dog of yours coming along)

I'm sorry, that was inappropriate. That confusion comes from a political disagreement and should not have been brought up here. Embarrassed Sorry c.i and Brimstone.

I too agree with Dog Lover's response and especially c.i.'s addition.

My new philosophy is that if people continue ignoring my brilliant threads, I'm gonna mosey on to greener pastures. I feel like I'm being boycotted or something! Sad

I actually did try Abuzz, and it's all cut and paste jobs covering entire threads, and insults galore. It is such a shame.
I posted some threads here about stuff that is important to me, particularly the AWOL subject, and
I was anticipating some decent conversation, but alas, little or nothing came of most of it. I guess because there aren't a heck of a lot of new interactions, that I can see, I wonder where everybody is and why they're not visiting my threads! So yeah, I'm whining and feeling neglected, which I should have noted in my personal ad too! I hate getting too much attention but I don't appreciate none, either! Anyhoo, I really should be doing my laundry anyway Sad Another sign of my busy and exciting single-girl life Wink

I drop into Abuzz once in awhile myself; find it less active than any cemetary.

hey there letty!

thanks for asking 'bout kodi. she has recovered from what the vet thinks was a stroke and is snoring at my feet. aja had acl surgery and spent the rent on a 5 week rehab at the vet. no way was she returning home before healing up a bit. she is limping but now scaring the hell out of me by leaping off the four foot high porch.she was so rambunctious that i had to give her doggie downers so she would relax. but the pills made her incontinent while she slept.

upon looking down at a recovering pet you love and wish health for, you realize how much a part of your life they are. then you see the small puddle of dog urine that had been there all the time as you had waxed poetic and realize how absurd the world is.
