That was a terrific interview with Leonard Cohen, tsar! (just finished listening.)
What an intelligent man. He manages to extract such perceptive statements out of himself, not always exactly easily. (& somehow manages to be funny at the same time!) And what a wonderful interviewer!
Thanks very much for posting that.

I like the lyric, for example: running around trying everything new,
but nothing impressed me at all...all through my wild days
my mad existence
i kept my promise
don't keep your distance
and as for fortune, and as for fame
i never invited them in
though it seemed to the world they were all i desired
they are illusions...

I woke up this morning with this song going through my head. Very first thing as I opened my eyes.
I must have been dreaming about it.
Why, I don't know. I haven't heard or even thought about it for years ...

And now, repeat performances are playing away. As much as I like Randy Newman & all, I really wish I could locate the "off" button. Neutral

Randy Newman writes great hummable tunes, as you know.

Oh I know, I know, panz.

I kinda wouldn't mind humming another one, though!
