@Syamsu,
Syamsu wrote:

You do the same here as in the other topic. You put God in the matters of fact category, thereby rejecting subjectivity.

Not even close.

Here are 2 hints.
1 - is what is good, loving and beautiful a matter of scientific fact?
2 - the word religion is almost interchangeable with the word faith. Does faith denote factual certitude?

Not even close!

Why do you not put God in the category together with what is good, loving and beautiful, as one more subjective issue?

I do not categorize gods, Syamsu.

I think Edgar screwed up when he wrote the title to this thread. If anything, it should have been, "Another day where there is no evidence of a god."

Edgar does not agree. Apparently you don't either.

Fine with me.

If anything looks, tastes or smells "divine" do you then consider it a "guess" that it is divine, or do you consider it an opinion?

Huh???

Quote:
And if so it is an opinion, would that not also make the existence of God and opinion as well?

Either there is a god...or there are no gods.

Any opinions about that are opinions.

one of my first challenges learning to drive standard in the 1970's was getting a car parked exactly right on that ferry. you have to be good with your clutch to do it right Shocked

@ehBeth,
I tried to find a pic of the ferry from Long Beach to San Pedro, CA. I used to ride it with my girl friend. Apparently, this bridge replaced it.

@edgarblythe,
My ex lives near there. We talk, but not about all around, that would talk a lot of hours.

What I remember about Long Beach, besides some stupid exhibition/conference where my feet hurt from all the concrete, was the major book store. Some name like Miles of Books, and the name was right. It was ramshackle and wonderful.

@edgarblythe,
I may need to dig out an old photo..

Well, I can dig it out, but I doubt I can slurp it into photobucket. Need a new printer. I'm hell on printers.

I still like Tiger best right now...and I understand how he just is not able to get back his mojo. The game, as we golfers say, is played between the ears.

You can have faultless fundamentals in the game...but if your head is screwed up (and his seems to be)...you just ain't gonna score.

That, plus the new guys are dynamite...and are not hearing footsteps the way some of the older players were doing when Tiger was on the prowl.

I like Jason Day a LOT also.

My favorite amateur golfer is still Frank Apisa...although his game is a mess. I actually shot a round over 100 last week. Played at my least favorite course...and one that I am not comfortable on.

Not good.

I have no idea how many movies this guy was in. But I have liked Percy Helton all my life. He's also one of only several movie actors I have seen in real life.

I saw a headline that states that football star, Arian Foster, does not believe in god. Who gives a flying flapdoodle what he thinks? He gets a groin injury every year and misses half the season. We need one of those crazy Baptists to carry the ball.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know that.
I think it takes balls to so self describe in the NFL.

I suppose his new absence will be taken in some quarters as god's will.
