@thack45,
Thanks. I have a book of Calvin and Hobbes strips. I haven't checked lately to see how much of its history is included.

@edgarblythe,
And Ayaan Hirsi Ali KNOWS there is nothing else...

...or she is merely guessing there is nothing else???

It appears to me that she is guessing about what exists and does not exist in REALITY...just like most atheists and theists.

If she thinks she sounds profound...or if you think she sounds profound...

...it is because she and/or you enjoy presenting guesses as though they are profundities.

http://deborahclinker.com/moonlight-turtle-hatchlings/

Quote:
Just as we were leaving, we were joined by a group of turtle watchers from the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Their leader had a bucket of tiny turtle hatchlings. The group stood quietly behind an arched line in the sand as the baby turtles were released to make their important tract down the moonlit beach toward the frothy surf – a trip to be imprinted forever so that they might return to this very beach and bury their precious eggs for future generations. I kept thinking of their challenges. The odds are that only one in 1000 hatchlings reach adult maturity.

With excitement we watched as all twenty-seven loggerheads scrambled in the sand and were swept away by the mighty sea in a swimming frenzy. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. From the full moon to baby sea turtles it was an unforgettable evening.

Speaking of turtles, some of the land critters are active around here. I dodged some on the road last week, and recently I rescued a couple from my dog. These tortoises are varying sizes. The biggest I have seen was perhaps nine inches long.

@georgeob1,
Thank you, George.

It appears that for Edgar...a troll is defined as "anyone who disagree with Edgar."

Lots of that kind of thinking going around in this forum. One would think those people are bright enough to see through their own stuff. One would also think those people have the ethical wherewithal to acknowledge when their "stuff" does not stand up to scrutiny.

It appears one would be wrong in both those cases,

@Frank Apisa,
In addition it is interesting to observe that these self-congratulating atheists repeatedly show themselves to be every bit as intolerant as the religious extremists they so often ridicule.

@georgeob1,
I've been mentioning that...and you have been mentioning that.

I wonder why they cannot get it? Or if they do, why they do not acknowledge it.
