Unwanted Overstrike

Every now and then I suddenly find myself typing a comment on a FB page and seeing that I've accidentally somehow switched to Overstrike mode. How do I get back to Insert mode?

@MARGRETMH,
This isn't a Facebook issue; it's yours. You're hitting Insert on occasion. Do you perchance have long nails? That can cause you to hit more keys than intended.
