I live in NY, went to florida and hit the lottery for 6022.00. They take out 25% for federal off the top. Their is no state income tax in Florida. Do i have to pay NYS income tax on the 6k and do i have to pay any other tax. Also is federal more then 25%. Need to know how much i need to save come tax season. Also earn 70k per year. Thank You

Who does your taxes for you? That is probably the best source for this information since they will be familiar with your local laws and your financial picture.
