I'm not the most stupid person on earth but I don't always get the photo connections. Is this the photo esthete thread?

Is it possible any of you will explain stuff? Or is it all extra special for certain decades of interest by the presently very bright?
Mild clues would be useful even in tiny type.

Any in particular Ossobuco?
My picture of Spock with the chess pieces was in response to a bridge whose towers looked like rooks.
Mall-Santa was in response to Mall-Orange Julius stand.
Bob Marley with braids/dredlocks was in response to Scottish-guy-with-braids.
Mercury sculpture wings-on feet in response to Cupid wings-on back.

That said, I don't know what Butrflynet had in mind responding to the Mercury sculpture with the plant with the reddish-greenish leaves.

I tend to act as a piss pot when I don't get stuff..a brat. I keep quiet for a while. Usually I do get stuff, or I wouldn't be here, but sometimes I don't get the connection at all, and... I'm interested.

Didn't you start this with a consideration of a short typed clue or info?

Maybe it is taken as a guessing game in total, where my bias is for photography. Which is fine, I just need to understand that.

I intended the words to be added only when necessary to clarify what something is, when it isn't obvious. For instance my Apr 1st posting, I clarified that the photo was of turkey tail feathers, though the relationship was to the visual form of Gloria Stuart's earrings. The clarification perhaps helped Vonny with the next one "shaking a tailfeather."
