The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine (Arabic: حركة الجهاد الإسلامي في فلسطين‎, Harakat al-Jihād al-Islāmi fi Filastīn) known in the West as simply Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), is a Palestinian Islamist organization formed in 1981 whose objective is the destruction of the State of Israel and the establishment of a sovereign, Islamic Palestinian state.

I believe you when you say have never heard of a Palestinian Jihad or anything else that contradicts your previously formed opinion . Your kind rarely do . They form their opinion and then rant into the ether, if someone contradicts them they shout insults and put them on ignore .

Oh Oh!

Quote:
Islamic State terrorists conquered large areas of the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in the Syrian capital Wednesday and are battling Palestinian faction Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis for control, media reports indicate.

"Fighters from ISIS launched an assault this morning on Yarmouk and they took over the majority of the camp," said Anwar Abdel Hadi, Damascus-based director of political affairs for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

This latest incursion represents ISIS' most significant territorial gain into Syria's capital.

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas leader Yehia Hourani, was killed in the camp on Monday, according to a Hamas statement which referred to Hourani's death as an assassination.

Yarmouk once hosted 160,000 Palestinians and Syrians. Now, however, only about 18,000 people remain in the camp that has been controlled by various groups over the past four years. Originally under dictator Bashar al-Assad's rule, the Yarmouk camp was taken over by moderate Sunni rebels and at one point also conquered by the al-Qaida affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra.

The siege has caused significant food and water shortages, imposing a humanitarian crisis over the camp's remaining inhabitants.

@coldjoint,
The Israelis have a little bomb they call a 'knocker' . They drop it on a building to warn people to get out and half an hour later they drop the big one . Does Hamas do that with their rockets ?

A little bomb to say ... "Hey we are going to blow up your house in 30 minutes and since you are a dirty Arab there is nothing you can do about it....!"

... how nice.

It is an attempt to avoid civilian casualties . What does Hamas do to lessen civilian casualties ? Since you are a scumbag Jew we will simply aim at kindergartens, after we fire you can run ....how nice .

@Ionus,
I think that the people blowing up houses and killing civilians are doing something bad whether they are Israeli or Palestinian.

Wrong is wrong no matter which side you are on.

I agree, but as a civilian I would rather have a door knocker bomb that harmlessly explodes on the roof and gives me time to get my family out than a Hamas missile that lands unannounced in a kindergarten . The question is not of choosing sides but how to stop it and the world is distracted right now with ISIL, and with very good reasons .

@Ionus,
I would rather have neither.

In total I think the Palestinians have it much worse than the Israelis (between houses being bombed or bulldozed, raids, military strikes and the economic siege). I would feel far safer and more comfortable in a Israeli neighborhood than in a Palestinian one.

You are right, we should figure out how to stop it on both sides.

Of course they do as the Israels can defend themselves far better then the Palestinians however it is still the Palestinians who wish to wiped the Israels off the face of the earth not the other way around and are the attackers.

Netanyahu just won an election by saying the Palestinians will never get a State under his watch. Seeing as he doesn't plan to let the Palestinians become part of Israel, I don't see much real difference between this view and what you say the Palestinian view is.

I don't know what you think should happen to the Palestinians...

He said they will never get a state as long as they keep pulling their ****. You, like the media, are twisting his words.

@coldjoint,
No that is what he said after the election when he tried to backtrack it. On the very eve of the Israeli election he said straight out there would be no Palestine state. Later on an Israeli interview, he was asked:

Quote:
The prospect of a Palestinian state is nil so long as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stays in office, Netanyahu said in a Monday interview.

Asked by an interviewer with the Israeli news site, NRG, if it was true that a Palestinian nation would never be formed while he's prime minister, Netanyahu replied, "Indeed."

He has backtracked since the election, but he is not credible in his denials. So really there is no difference in the hard liners of Israelis and the hard liners of Palestinians, neither want the other to exist.

Ok, from Haaretz.

Quote:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhau said Monday that if he were to be reelected, a Palestinian state would not be created, in a definite disavowal of his 2009 speech, in which he had voiced support for the principle of two states for two peoples.

Netanyahu's remarks in an interview with the NRG website - which is owned by casino mogul Sheldon Adelson and tied with the settler newspaper Makor Rishon - were a last-minute attempt to pull right-wing voters away from Habayit Hayehudi.

"I think that anyone who moves to establish a Palestinian state and evacuate territory gives territory away to radical Islamist attacks against Israel," Netanyahu said. "The left has buried its head in the sand time and after time and ignores this, but we are realistic and understand."

Or what about the Freerepublic, a conservative website.

In a definitive disavowal of his Bar-Ilan two-state speech, prime minister makes last-minute attempt to draw voters from Bennett's Habayit Hayeudi.

During the interview, Netanyahu declared that if the Zionist Union were to win the elections, "it would attach itself to the international community and do they bidding," including freezing construction in West Bank and East Jerusalem settlements, and cooperate with international initiatives to return Israel's borders to the 1967 lines.

Look, no one disputes he said it exactly how it is reported. No one dispute he then backtracked. No one believes in his backtrack. Those who support his words, do not care if his later backtrack is believed or not.

Oh I am positive the Palestinians have it much worse . Israelis dont get dragged out and shot by Islamist terrorists for their political or religious disagreements .

A home to a muslim is his castle, his sanctuary, even more so than in the west . The Israelis destroy houses for hiding terrorists . The owner then goes to Hamas for compensation who tell him to bugger off . The Palestinian civilian is caught in the middle, same as the Israeli civilian dodging rocket attacks . There have been 4,000 rockets and 30 mortar attacks from Jan - Aug last year . These attacks are so common as to not be news worthy .
