I got an email from Rhys asking if we were going to have another season and, if so, offering to be the commissioner. And would I want to again be the huckster-in-chief. Here goes:
Did you know that we have been playing this game for about a dozen years? Did you know that there are, apparently, only a few A2Ker's who follow the antics of the boys of summer?
Nonetheless, we get together each February to dig our baseball gloves out of our closets - even as some us dig our porches and cars our out of the snow.
There is something about the smell. It's leather but it is more than that. It is memories of youth and summer and of being outdoors in the sun.
Please consider joining us again or for the first time. I would like to have people indicate an interest here so that we can set this up. I need to order popsicles so also indicate your choice of lime, orange or grape.

I've not been following baseball news (yet), so am a perfect blank slate.
Right now, I can supply all the popsicles you want. They might be the flavor of a mix of my car and the azalea bush, which may or may not be alive (zombie azaleas FTW!).
I can't be active but I will gladly help fill the roster.
Frozen Rope is eager to go.

Baseball, eh? I've heard of that activity. That's the one where you use a tee to get the ball over the goal line after a scrum, right?

I assume that he has sent the email announcing that to the people who played last year.
He has set the time for our draft: Sunday, March 15, 7:45 pm EDT. Games start on April 4th or 5th. We may want to have the draft date pushed back a week or to allow us more time to get players or to (gasp) do research on our rosters.

As usual, I don't like the changes, or at least I can't wiggle around them yet. "It" doesn't let me see two hundred players at once, and keep them there so I can fool around with their order, and figure who to move out of the list of those preferred. I only played with that once, so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
To whine some more, not much time to study up if the draft is this next Sunday.
