@glitterbag,
Poverty is higher now than it was under Bush. The problem is that the left isn't passing this info around their own circles. They have been to busy patting them selves on the back for all their "success" while at the same time they have been loosing seats in Congress and they have now lost the WH. Could it be because normal Americans understand what is really going on? https://www.statista.com/statistics/200463/us-poverty-rate-since-1990/

@Region Philbis,
Ain't that the stuff of fiction, when a racial bigot, liar and scammer wins the top honcho spot in what we all believed to be a democracy.

Interesting chart. Shows massive rise in poverty in 2008-2010; then stabilization; then a sharp drop in 2015.

Wonder if there was anything particular that happened in 2008-10... maybe a global financial and economic crisis that fueled a surge in poverty across much of the world?

Nah, must be Obama's fault.

@nimh,
Many people have differing interpretations for the Great Recession caused by the banks and financial institutions.
I'm sure many still blame Obama for "that" financial disaster.

@nimh,
So wait, Obama has a reason for his lack of improvement but Bush who had to deal with more economic issues doesn't have a reason? Dotcom crash, 9-11, cooking the books, all took place within the first couple of years of his term in the WH.

@Baldimo,
It's common knowledge that the occupant of the White House gets the credit or blamed for what happens during their watch.
If you still don't understand the Bush-Cheney administration, I highly recommend you do some reading on this subject.

Read this article; you might learn something important.

@cicerone imposter,
Caused by the banks and the financial institutions? How about when banks were forced to give loans to people who couldn't afford them? You know the whole sub-prime loan mortgage scam the govt regulated into being? No one forced those people to purchase a home with an A.R.M., and then not pay attention to the time frame in which those loans went up.

Well it's common knowledge to most people who aren't Obama supporters. How many times have things gone wrong in the Obama admin and you turned around and blamed the GOP? Many us have mentioned many times how the left never accepts anything wrong that went wrong with the Obama admin. Benghazi is one of the first things to come to mind. Obama and Hillary screwed up but you pushed the blame on the GOP, not the person in the WH.

I understand it just fine, I've been on this site since the Bush-Cheney admin and have seen how the left treated them.

Keep trying to convince yourself you aren't moving from class to ass (even at the most superficial level) - it will be a small consolation to tell you I told you so over the next four years. Again, kudos.

Have you ever visited Wisconsin? There's also some good cheese shops in Napa - where they also have great wines.
