Poverty has gotten worse over the last 8 years under GOP controlled congress. Pin the blame where it belongs. Not ONE bill was put forward to help the p0or by the GOP led congress in 8 years! All democratic bills aimed at lessening the burden of poor families, veterans and those struggling with jobs that don't pay a living wage were also filibustered by the GOP.
