Outlook Express 6, Messages repeated in Inbox

There are lots of reasons for messages to duplicate. Are they going to both you and a group you're a part of? Are they being forwarded possibly via more than one program? It can also be a mail server - the company's, your provider's, etc.

Have you tried mentioning it to your company's IT department? They might be able to stop at least some of the duplicating.

I'm a private individual not part of a company. This repetition happens perhaps one time in 10 - 20 or so, and usually (though not invariably) with messages from companies rather than individuals. I suspect they arrive every few minutes or so. And they are being sent to me only. Because the problem is inconsistent I assume the problem must be at my end.
