I need help figuring out who this artist is. The dedication says "with sincere wishes for every happiness".
[con sinceri auguri di ogni felicita]

Any valuation comments are also appreciated. (Frame is cheap- paper is approx. 12" L x 10" W)

Thank you for looking.

@FiddlersF,
I like it, kind of neat but I couldn't find anything on it.

Good luck. Razz

@jcboy,
Thank you so much for the response jcboy!

I simply cannot make out that signature.

This drawing was purchased by my mother-in-law at a "barn sale" in The Bronx in the early 1970's from her next door neighbor, Eugenia Sherman. Eugenia was a niece of General Sherman. She was very old at the time and was downsizing before moving into an assisted living facility. I've often wondered if she was the subject of the drawing.

Again, thank you for the response!

@FiddlersF,
So far I think the artist's name is Lia Sperranotto, but that could easily be wrong.

Google is bringing me nowhere fast.

@FiddlersF,
The last name looks like Spezzano-something. Spezzano is an Italian name.

After Spezzano, the three lines with the sweeping line over it is *exactly* how my husband signs his name and he is the "third"/... III. That probably doesn't apply here if the artist is a woman.

Maybe Spezzanotti?
