What do these terms mean to you?

There are as many definitions as there are people, it seems. So, what does it mean to "make out".
An older term you don't see very often anymore is "petting". What does that mean?
Interested to see everyone's answers on this.

These terms are from the 50's and 60's for sure.

'Make out" meant kissing, maybe even passionately, but not French kissing.

'Petting" meant touching, usually the guy touching the girl's breast.

On the same years an Italian movie had a funny character, when the guy used to say "hi" to his girlfriend by pressing her breasts with his hands imitating the pressing of a bicycle air horn and saying "bongee bongee".
