I've been struggling with colour. When we mix yellow and blue we get green. Now just suppose we had some very fine yellow sand and we mixed it with fine blue sand would the mixture appear green? I've gleaned the fact that each colur has its own wavelength so it would seem that when blue and yellow wavelenghts are mixed we see them as green.

Think about the differences between liquid object vs. solid objects. Notice any peculiar physical difference about ,how integration occurs?

Yes when we dissolve a chemical it becomes totally dispersed into molecules. Are you saying the mixed pile will retain its seprate colours?
I'm not sure. When we look closely at a picture we see dots.
