What's the worst movie theatrically released in 2014 was the most painful to watch?

For me? So far...
1. Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
2. Frank (2014)
3. Transcendence (2014)
4. The Other Woman (2014)
5. Non-Stop (2014)

This Non Stop is brilliant.

The worst film I saw at the cinema last year was Tarzan. My son loved it though.

not having seen them, but just by looking at a quick list (the wiki page for the films of 2014 isn't loading for me for some reason), i'm gonna start with, 22 Jump Street, Noah, Exodus, The Theory of Everything, Annie, Mr. Peabody and Sherman

@djjd62,
Do you think that The Theory of Everything will be a schmaltzy feelgood whitewashed biopic? It's quite schmaltzy and I don't know enough about Stephen Hawking to know what bad history could have been left out....

Or do you have hesitations on it for other reasons? For me, the Oscar buzz for Eddie Redmayne's performance was actually well deserved.

And you're suspicions about Noah are pretty accurate. It's a mess. It's not Razzie level bad as all of its individual components work to some degree but it's mediocre storytelling.

@tsarstepan,
if i was to see anything about Hawking i'd much rather just see a straight doc

i will probably see the imitation game at some point, but theory holds no interest, even more so because it gets mentioned so often as having "oscar buzz" a phrase which to me is like sunlight to a vampire

i'm also torn about mockingjay, i really liked the first two books, and enjoyed for the most part the two films, but i found the third book to be the weakest of the trilogy, so i face a dilemma will jennifer lawrences adorable nose be enough to keep my interest through two films, only time will tell

My hearing doesn't make movies worthwhile, but I read the books and agree on Mockingjay. It just seemed sort of contrived.
