We did it! We have an A2k Book Discussion Group!

Here is the place to discuss our first choice, Salman Rushdie's "Fury".

The discussion starts formally on February 4th - but people may wish to make some comments as they go along - possible discussion topics may well arise from this - but please do not reveal any major plot details that may mar another's pleasure.

Gos bless this ship and all who sail in her....

Oh - here is the link back to the discussion where this group started:

Yay! Very very happy riveter!

littlek, I pretty much entirely doubt it, but there is a site -- www.furythenovel.com -- to get you started.

I have many, many, MANY discussion topics related to Fury, and ask the assembled if you'd like me to launch right into topics, for you to keep in the back of your head as you read (I haven't finished it myself yet, mind you) or wait until February 4th.

I'll plan on posting links like the above as I come across them.

I searched a couple different keyword sets to no avail. Maybe I'll try to find a used copy.

littlek, there's the library, too. I have a weird book fetish -- I like to keep my books -- and almost never get library books. However, I'm currently poor and pining over any number of books (Blank Slate, Life of Pi, etc., etc.) and when I reserved "Middlesex" realized it was just silly of me to neglect this resource.

Anyway, my library had Fury, dunno how common that would be.

I just bought a used copy of Fury at Amazon.com $7.95. Due to receive it within the week. Is that commitment or what?
