Whats all this nonsense about his face on Mount Rushmore or our money?

Has everyone gone insane? Ronnie was a decent president, but chill out- I think its about time people tell the Ron worshippers to turn it down a notch.

I knew it was coming when I first heard the gushing on the news by Candy crowley (?) the day after the poor man died. We do get carried away in this country. Usually just to see them get knocked down but when they die they get immortalized like Elvis.

How about Elvis's face up there on that mountain? He was a great communicator too.

Actually we here in the states go on about the royalties just as much as the countries themselves do if not more. I think it is deep down royalty envy.

Although personally I thank my lucky stars that we have no kings and queens and all the rest. At least with presidents you can vote them out.

Now revel if you're talking about me I wanna make one thing clear here (once and for all Wink ): I'm not British - I'm German.

And I totally agree with you that those Royals are a little old-fashioned and totally out of date. But you should consider that they're only charged with representative and ceremonial tasks. So they're much like the German President.
All they can do is roam the planet and do social stuff. And all political might they might have is dictated by the current government.

So no need to vote them out anyways, cuz they can't hurt anybody.

Heh.

Despite my personal feelings on the matter, I doubt seriously that this will happen - the treasury just spent a ton of money rolling out new bills, and they aren't about to do it again at the drop of a hat.

The man has been honored far beyond the scope of his accomplishments. Better to put Elvis there. At least he left us some music.
