@FOUND SOUL,
bunny, I saw your first message on the right day I think. I'm up late.

found soul, I'll see the dogs on Friday. I will be licked. That's for sure. The cake will be gone by then. Tough noogies, dawgs.

Hey Roberta. I was just pulled out of an avalanche here in Midtown. That's why I didn't get to wishing you birthday wishes earlier.

So here's to a year of good health, a flood of mutt friends, and most importantly that this year doesn't bring you an existential quarter-life crisis:

Happy Birthday Roberta! Very Happy

@firefly,
firefly, Kvetching that I don't have enough to worry about. I like that. Thanks for the good wishes.

tsar, An avalanche in midtown? I'm skeptical, but I really like the picture. Don't worry about being late. Thanks, kid.

I had dinner with Sheila tonight at our favorite Italian restaurant. We hadn't seen each other in a while and had a lot of catching up to do. She said that she hasn't seen me with such a positive frame of mind in a long time. She said I'm losing my edge. Shocked Oh, the ignominy. This is humiliating.

For those interested, we shared baked clams. I had shrimp scampi. Sheila had chicken piccata (sp?). We had tiramisu for dessert. The food was great. Seeing Sheila was great.

Losing my edge????!!!! Getting old is one thing. Edgelessness is not something I bargained on. Sigh.

@Roberta,
Somehow I just can't visualise you losing your edge Roberta. You're very much one of a kind. Laughing

Glad you had such a pleasant evening out - the meal sounds delicious.

I've become a butter knife amidst a sea of steak knives. Child scissors amidst a sea of seamstress shears. Can't even cut my way out of a paper bag.

Sigh.
