Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram ‘kill 48 fishermen’

BOKO Haram gunmen killed 48 fish vendors in Nigeria’s restive Borno State, near the border with Chad, the head of the fish traders association told AFP on Sunday.

“Scores of Boko Haram fighters blocked a route linking Nigeria with Chad near the fishing village of Doron Baga on the shores of Lake Chad on Thursday and killed a group of 48 fish traders on their way to Chad to buy fish,” Abubakar Gamandi said.

If ever a reason to back up calls to stop immigration was needed this is it. The government is signing a death warrant for all us Brits by continuously letting backward Muslims from third world dumps like Somalia and Pakistan come here to live. Un educated, un civilised, anti social and contribute nothing positive to our society.

Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven, has called for a snap election next year after a budget brawl.

Löfven, 57, announced his plans after the opposition Sweden Democrats party blocked the passage of his first budget through parliament amid calls for huge cuts to the immigration into the Nordic country. His offer for a broader coalition with the former Alliance government were also rejected.

Löfven blamed the failure of his government on the opposition parties acting “irresponsibly”, but said that in resigning he took final responsibility.

The Social Democrat leader formed a coalition government with the Green Party after September’s elections, ousting Fredrik Reinfeldt’s center-right coalition. This coalition left the balance of power in parliament with the Sweden Democrats, who yesterday said that they would reject all budget proposals that do not include provisions to drastically cut immigration.

Fresh elections have been called for 22 March 2015, which will be the country’s first snap elections since 1958.

Defeating IS: Only by eradicating Islamic education

Many Muslim scholars condemn the practices of IS, yet refrain from criticizing the Islamist ideology that has fueled the organization’s popularity. The origins of this ideology are to be found in the Islamic education system that teaches the speeches and practices of Prophet Muhammad as being above question and literal Truth. The US-led coalition raids may sooner or later defeat IS. Yet, defeating it without eradicating this education system is like, in Marx’s terminology, destroying the building’s roof while keeping the pillars standing.

Indeed, every religion claims to be the best, and Islam in this regard is no exception. Like Nazism, that elaborated on the already existing anti-Semitism in Europe, IS builds upon a well-established consensus that non-Muslims, especially members of religious minorities established after Islam, are heretics. Akin to fundamentalist Christians who believe that Jesus is the Messiah and that Jews should abandon their religion and believe in him, Islamists take this step further and promote the use of force against those who refuse to believe in Prophet Muhammad as the Envoy of God and the last prophet.

The Facebook page bills itself as a "counter terrorism" page and states "it is 'Team Islam' against Australian oppression and terrorism.
