I bought a 2006 used lexus is 350 got home after 20 min of the sale got out and smelled burning then drove it for 10 min turned the car off went to turn it back on and it wouldnt start all the electival gages were flickering and going all grazy .. The dealer said it was just a bad batterie however doesnt explain the burning and electrical. Please help what can this be? I got my cat back had it for 2 days just drive it about 10min and it was smoking and had that burning again and now the car wont start its completely dead

Take it back and demand your money back. That's no battery.

I have a 1998 Lexus and it runs well, well actually great. How many miles are on the 2006 Lexus? But anyway, take it back to the dealer, and get your money back. Somebody probably ran it hard and put it up wet.

Clearly, there's some sort of electrical problem. Accessory belt/fan belt or something in the wiring. Just get them to recognize that there's a problem. Direct them to the smell, dead electrical (towed car into shop) and tell them to fix it or you'll sue them and put it on the 6:00 news.
