You agree with the President that male predatory behavior is normalized on college campuses because of the toxicity of masculinity? But why then shouldn't steps be taken? The president is taking steps by spreading the message that masculinity is toxic and leads to violence, and that female spaces should be protected. He's being proactive about this culture of violence. The thing is that pretty much all men have inappropriate thoughts. The only way to combat this is to criminalize and de-incentivise this type of thinking. That's what gets results. That's what the NFL is doing.

I've read most of this thread and if you disagree with what I'm saying and with what the president is saying, then what you're essentially doing is agreeing with posters like hawkeye and Bill. And I'm pretty sure they're both wannabe rapists, or maybe even real rapists.

The 1 in 5 estimate of rape among women is closer to 3 in 5, when one includes the number of times a woman is raped by her husband .

Spousal rape is an event which is rarely reported to police and one, which very rarely makes it to the Courts.

It is 10/10 under the constantly reaffirmed enthusiastic yes standard. I was raped just last week when my wife was super horny and would not take no not now for an answer. I would be shocked if I have been raped less than a 100 times in the 1500 weeks we have been married. I tend to like sex more so it is likely that I have raped her 500 times or more. If I am to be charged for each time I did something sexual to her body without asking permission the number is surely above 5000.

You are vile hawkeye. You shouldn't be allowed to speak that way. Racist. This is the kind of thinking I'm talking about. There should be some kind of disciplinary action by the law for people who think and say these kinds of things like you do. Same thing with porn and women in video games. Because that's what leads to rape too. We shouldn't be allowing men to look at women and have these disgusting thoughts when they look at those women showing off their private parts just for a man's enjoyment. And even young men think it's Ok to invade female spaces when they're not invited. Like on campus, men will stare at women. Very similar to a rapists mindset is the man who watches women all the time. The male gaze, it's a form of violence and hostility.

You shouldn't be allowed to talk in such a way to women hawkeye. That's what people like president Obama and Emma Watson are trying to change. If we can start by changing the way that people think, hopefully women will get some support. Hopefully some day people will start to pay attention to the way that the male feeling of entitlement to say nasty things is hindering women's issues from being addressed.

Yes indeed sixty percents of all men are rapists when it come to their wives.

I cannot stand bigotry. And that's why we need feminism. It's because of white straight men. Men are the ones who rape, not women. Men are the ones who are violent, not women. And white, straight men are the most violent and misogynist of all. It's part of their nature. When you call a woman a ****, you don't get freedom of speech anymore. When women's safety is compromised, guess what? You don't deserve to have all of your freedoms anymore. 1 out of every 4 women is brutally raped everyday, and if you disagree with that being wrong you should be put in jail. There are plenty of support groups for men. Alcoholics anonymous, churches, sports bars, strip bars, places to watch football, auto garages, NAMBLA. And most doctors and people who run clinics for people with addictions are men.

The argument itself is stupid.

If a woman doesn't want to be touched by a man and only have sex when she desires, then she shouldn't get married in the first place.

Married women who felt "abused or raped" because their husbands want to have sex with them must lost their privileges of "married status" and by law they must leave the house without any benefits.

The reason is that the contract of marriage includes by its own definition, the sexual relations between a man and a woman.

Unless it is specified BEFORE compromising to be married, any refusal of the woman to have sex with the husband must be considered as "breaking the contract".

So, if a woman feels that she "made a mistake" by being married because the husband wants to have sex with her every fifteen minutes or once a month, then she must end the marriage so the -ex-husband can find someone who will satisfy "legally" his desires for sex.

And this is not a message that suggest "sex" as the whole thing in a marriage, but if not with the wife, then with whom man is supposed to have sex when the wife rejects his sexual advances?

"Women raped by their husbands" Lol what a ridiculous complaint.
