@contrex,
What is the nature of spirit with regards to the measuring of the speed of light? You know, the bastard stepchild of real physics and woo woo new age stuff.

@jespah,
No, I think it has someting to do with measuring Reg's spurt.

I'll phone him and ask if he's up for it.

Hum well thanks for them inspiring ideas so far.we know the brain moves in a relative way its local to the event.but is consciousness independent of the event.in much the same way as a photon is independent of its source.consciousness could be nonlocal to the local brain.

For once agree with Que. The speed c is based on unwarranted assumptions about time-at-a-distance but might yield a relative value just as the speed of an object. What's especially interesting to note is how the issue is so studiously ignored

The "issue" is being "ignored" for the same reason that the "issue" of fairies at the bottom of peoples gardens is being "ignored". What was the purpose of adding that link?

To show how studiously ignored is the subject of time-at-a-distance, Con, as evidenced by so few hits incorporating the phrase

LOL, let begin at the beginning.
Nobody even knows what time is.

Ignored because it doesn't make sense.

I presume Con you mean the phrase "time-at-a-distance." Its apparent value depends upon one's velocity so that three different observers at any point in the Universe provide 3 different answers depending on their respective velocities

I'd have to agree however that the idea of time-at-a-distance might still be a controversial concept, just as the notion of a stationary reference frame
