@bobsal u1553115,
11/12 for me. I don't think they gave me credit for those gender and age questions, but I'm pretty sure I got them right.

I got 9/12, but then I am a foreigner. These were my wrong answers:

1. What is the federal minimum wage today?

You answered "$10.50"

The correct answer is "$7.25"

2. What is the industry that has primarily contributed to the recent economic boom in the state of North Dakota?

You answered "Soybeans"

The correct answer is "Oil"

3. Who is the current chair of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board?

You answered "Sonia Sotomayor"

The correct answer is "Janet Yellen"

I think the test is wrong (or at least ambiguous) on that one.

Social Security pays for itself...money does not come out of general revenue dollars for it. It really should not be called "spending."

Interest on the national debt is spending.

Obviously, I got it wrong also.

@Frank Apisa,
I thought it was a great question! (I wonder why.)

(On the other hand maybe the North Dakota question was unfair... don't they make oil out of soybeans?)

@izzythepush,
I got the debt one wrong, too. But its a trick question, SSI is a fund that isn't supplemented and shouldn't be the same as a debt.

That Americans are ill informed about global news and economic reality comes as no shock to me.

@bobsal u1553115,
I got 12 out of 12 but I thought was really interesting was that you are more likely to answer correctly if you are male, college graduate and over 50. Unless it's a about the minimum wage or poverty levels. Quite telling actually.
