I recently had blood words done on account of my alopecia.
I was told that my iron stores were 17 and put on some ferrous fumerate tablets. Is that particularly low? Could that be causing my hair loss?

The qualified specialist who put you on the tablets....what did he/she say?

They told me that following blood tests i had low iron stores. They should be between 25 and 200 and theyre 17. That was all the information i was given

Just stick with the prescription, then. Don't try to help by taking other supplements as iron can be toxic if you get too much of it.
