. . . Sailor take warning. Don't go out on the water today, Kids.

The sky over Toronto is a lurid red right now. Has anyone noticed anything unusual? Mushroom cloud? Second coming of Jee-sus? Alien visitation?

@Setanta,
Red sky at night,
Brixton's alight.....

Lovely day here in the youkay. If you have a second coming over there, please let us know as we usually get it about a week after.

I'd go and stock up on loaves and fishes.

@Lordyaswas,
I hear ya only need one of each.

Our morning sky is the color of Velveeta.

No, wait, I just need to clean my glasses.

@jespah,
One of each?

Bugger! I'm always getting this type of thing the wrong way round.

I spent my entire childhood sitting in cupboards and shouting. It was in my teens that someone then told me that the old saying was actually:

Children should be SEEN and not HEARD.

What the bloody hell am I going to do with 200 baguettes?

I have never saw a sky like that. Your description makes me recall a Vardis Fisher novel, in which the very early humans cowered in fear each time they witnessed red sunsets or sunrises. They figured the sun must be having a very bloody battle and might not come up again.

@edgarblythe,
I'm going to try and bring a friend's photo over from FB that shows what it was like on her side of town.
