Rowe is accused of signing the wife up for sex ads online, including one she titled “Carmel Valley Freak Show,” encouraging visitors to drop by unannounced while her husband is at work, according to court documents. She allegedly told men who responded to the listings to push their way inside the home, and gave men the couple’s new address.
From "she allegedly told men who responded to the listings to push their way inside the home " is there anyone who can tell me the meaning of this sentence ? ... actually is from the part " to push their way inside the home " ......i cant get it ...
@Arafat ,
'to push their way inside the home, and gave men the couple’s new address."
means: to enter the home unannounced, and (she) gave the men the couple's new address so these men could find her home.
@PUNKEY,
so u meant .. "to push their way inside the home" means " to enter their home unanoounced ?
Those sentences are badly written.
The first one has conflicting tenses, e.g. "encouraging visitors to drop by unannounced while her husband is at work," and in the second one, the writer could have put it better than writing, "push their way inside." What, was the entrance obstructed? "Make their way inside," would have been bettter.
