I have a camper with a 12 volt system. I have a Fan/LED Light that is powered by two "D" size batteries. I would like to use my 12 volt system to power the Fan/Light to eliminate the batteries. Ebay sells a DC/DC Converter 12V Step Down To 3V 3A 15W Power Supply Module. Is this what I need.

Don't want to mess up my Fan/Light or cause a heat problem. I do know enough to hook it up but know very little about how it works or if it will work without hurting something.
Yes, I would do with that converter, it's quite appropriate to your need.
