I've had chronic restriction and tightness of breath in my left lung for almost a year but no pain and wheezing.Feels like it came from the back,near the shoulder blade.I'd went to doctor for checkup and undergone x-ray scan but no bad results i.e normal.so,I'm wondering why I feel such restriction or tightness chronically.The Doctor said it's an asthma but I don't think so as I don't have the same symptoms as what asthma sufferers have.next step we'd done was we went to my grandmother,who has adequate knowledge about massage,and consult to her my back.she said that I have my nerve and muscles,at the back that is linked with breathing,crushed and then become hard that is caused by cool that have entered inside my body that's why I feel some restriction in my breath.I Don't think so at first but eventually I little convinced it is as she pointed to me the affected part,which is the one where I feel the restriction(near the left shoulder blade).once she massage the affected part,I feel temporarily a little ease in my breath..she said it takes a long session of massage before your feelings restore to normal because this case has been neglected for a long time.But,I couldn't been so definitely sure of this until I have scientific basis on this.how could this be true??my grandmother is not an expert but looks like there's a truth to her words.before I forgot,a day ago I noticed a small and hard but unpainful pea sized lumps along my jaw..I don't know if it is a swollen submandibular nodes.also,I noticed hard but unpainful nerve connected to my testicle..I wonder if they have links or connection to the restriction in my breath..is it so?please answer my questions and any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated..thanks in advance.please answer me in a basic english i.e easy to understand words..I think I'm suck in english..

@benze,
Here's plain English.

Go to a doctor. Do not try to get a diagnosis from amateurs on the Internet.

@benze,
Jes has a point. You won´t find here the corect answer.

Pulmonar diseases aare very tricky, they need not just only a good clinicc history but also physical evaluation. there is no way to give you a good idea of your disease solely based on what you can describe here.

Look for a pneumologist. X rays are good to detect solid problems of the lung but the best exam for functional pulmonar diseases is the spirometry performed by an experienced specialist.

Tight muscles on the spine and the shoulders can cause the sensation of restricted breathing. They would be an indirect cause and not a pulmonar one. Again, better be sure, make an appointment.

And that cord that you feel that comes from your testicle is called spermatic cord (transports sperms), we all (males) have it Bro.

BTW you did great with your english, i am also a non english native, and i frequently struggle in this. Welcome to the forums.

@luismtzzz,
Yes of course I should go consulting to a doctor..but,I wanna admit to you that I belongs to a poor family and thus,can't afford a professional doctor.I've been collecting my money but not enough yet.now,my intention in making this thread is just to collect any information with regards to my concerns while I'm collecting my money for consultation..I must know whether the small lumps along my jaw and hard nerves(which seems to be indifferent with others') that is connected to my left testicle have links to restriction of my breath that comes from the left upper back,near the shoulder blade.so that if I know it is I will include that for my diagnosis.also,I must know if it is not my left lung which has problem or it is in my nerve or muscle or whatsoever.they said that nerves in our back are connected to our breathing. as far as I know,it is not in my lung because the chest x-ray didn't show any bad result.they said chest x-ray is not 100% sure to detect lung disease..is it so?there are options like CT scan..also,I little doubt whether it is a pnuemonologist,neurologist,orthopedics to whom I consult.please I beg for help even through giving ideas or information I can use before I go to doctor.there's no harm in sharing ideas as long as you have knowledge on it.please I really beg for help..thanks in advance..

@benze,
The cord from your testicle could be normal, again physiscal evaluation in mandatory. It may be nothing more than the spermatic cord. We humans are not perfectly symetric we al have one side of the body that is bigger o r smoother. Example: the feet, anyone can relate going to buy shoes and one foot is perfect and the other feels tight on the same sized shoe. Women can relate with the breast, almost everytime the left one is bigger.

The lumps in the jaw. If you feel them over the border of the jaw bone the may be common irregularities of the bone, also facial artery causes a crease on the bone that canbe touched. Ganglia of the maxilar area can suddenly swell even in the abscence of disease. they are all year round active, like soldier camps during a cold war, always ready in case of an infection to appear. But again physical evaluation is needed to confirm and determine procedure.

If the complaint is restrictive breathing there are twooptions, one an integrative type of specialist (internal medicine) or pneumologist. He will decide what procedure to make. I will be likely an spirometry.

The nerve that controls breathing is on the neck, actually C4 level. The nerves of the back only control de muscles around the toracic girdle. They are not directly involved in respiration, altough they an tightne the chest by muscular contraction. In that case the problem is muscular and not pulmonar. But for this outcome .... again physical exploration.

Yes there are a few diseases that can cause a complex combination like the one you sdescribe but is impossible to make such assumptions right now, and they are very rare diseases and you should be experiencing far more complaints. So there is no use in making a list.

There is no option, no help on the internet will be enough. Physical evaluation is of upmost importance. Acoid internet sites, avoid web med. most patients end up very scared, there are tousands of trolls on the web. Do your self a favor be calm and search personal proffesional help.

(if i could have a dollar for every patient that had read he had cancer because a search of symptoms he or she did on the net i will be rich)

@luismtzzz,
So there's a link between the restriction of my breath and the small unpainful lumps along my jaw,isn't it?

@benze,
Contact the local welfare office to find out about getting medical care for people like you. Don't wait; a second opinion is called for, and your health is the most important asset you have.
