Hello All,

"http://any-find.com/index.htm" and other nice little things have invaded my computer. Norton did not detect anything, adaware did not find anything and Trend found a couple things. McAfee found 16 and I rid myself of them only to have something left somehwere.

So here's what happened. We use Yahoo as our search page. Since last night (http://any-find.com/index.htm) has become my search page no matter what I do to change it. And I get great sex pages and more in my Favorites column. Okay. Now I delete all this and it comes back within minutes.

When I ran the free McAfee it said my media player was running amock so that is gone, but not this crap.

I am at a stand still and don't know what to do. Oh, I only have one Twain in my computer so there is no Twain-tec or whatever. I have run every virus program I can find and no help.

Should I toss this computer in our lake? Should I re-load my windows2000?

Can anyone help?

Remove the Hijack any-find.com/index.htm
Hi,
I had same problem with win XP, Norton (with last update) find two files as adware: dllhelp.exe and winlogin.exe, but failed to delete them, so I deleted them manualy,
First dllhelp.exe in :
c:\winnt\dllhelp.exe
second winlogin.exe in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
winloin.exe
but I couldn't delete the winlogin.exe from windows so I restart the PC and booted it with a bootable CD and deleted it with Dos.
and then I went to Run and regedit and search for every Key and Value including "winlogin" and deleted them.
And also Went to Run and msconfig and Disabled them from startup.
And know my problem is solved.

Take care,
Babak

Motogroup, you have a CoolWebSearch infection, Download, update and run
CWShredder
Click Fix, don't just scan. Let it fix everything it asks about.

Next Please post a HijackThis log to the forum.

Launch HijackThis, then press Scan, and press Save Log.

This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

Open that file.
Go to Edit | Select all
Now click Edit | copy to copy it.

Do not change anything just yet.
Come back to the forum, Right Click and paste its contents here.

I also had same problem with win XP, Norton (with last update)
Found 2 files running without reason and they were
dllhelp.exe and winlogin.exe,

Delete these files but before that in Taskmanager end these processes. Else it won't let you delete them.

First one is found at c:\winnt\dllhelp.exe
second winlogin.exe is found under
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\
winloin.exe

Then regedit and search for any-find.com and delete where ever it if found.

Thanks
